When I teach, I teach to the student's brain, giving it space to connect gross motor movement, fine motor movement, hand/eye coordination, balance and spatial awareness to the instrument being played or skill currently being worked on. My music, movement and dance teaching methods are extremely innovative and have been meticulously developed, with careful assessment and refinement. Together, we work to create a learning atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable in music exploration, challenge and discovery; while fostering a love of instrument play, practice, performance and analysis. With humor and positive encouragement, I cater instruction to each student by meeting them where they are and giving them space to grow into their developmental milestones. My students are all ages, abilities and knowledge levels and I have worked with the span of special needs (ASD, AD, Anxiety/Depression, ODD, ADD, ADHD, CD, ABA support & Gifted) in the conventional learning environment and unconventional learning environment. Lessons are taught virtually or in person and slots are limited.
