Lori attended West Chester University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education and a Master of Music in Orff Schulwerk. She was born in Queens, NY, was raised in Matawan, NJ, started piano lessons at the age of 6, flute lessons at the age of 9, learned how to play all band and orchestra instruments for her undergrad and graduate degrees (WCUPA BS & MM), stared playing the guitar upon graduation from undergrad and has been in the Philadelphia area since 1991. Her parents instilled a great love for artists of the 60’s and 70’s in her; Simon & Garfunkel, Neil Diamond, John Denver, The Bee Gees, The Beach Boys, The Beatles, The Monkees and Sonny & Cher to name a few. She’s always loved movie soundtracks, Broadway soundtracks and has a special place in her heart for the pop music of the 80’s and 90’s. Her major musical influence was her high school band director, Mr. Vinci, whom she met in 5th grade. His sense of humor, quirky personality and deep love for all things music gave her a safe place to be herself and his band room was her second home. Her all-time favorite song is Thank U by Alanis Morrisette, her favorite musical artists are Alanis Morrisette and Neil Diamond, her favorite Music Monkey Jungle songs are You’re Buggin’ Me, Quit it, Cows Chickens & Pickles, The Dynamics Song, Pointer Finger Dance Party and The Music Monkey Jungle Goodbye Song and her favorite Kinderlach Rock songs are Doin' My Thing at the Purimspiel (Chapter 6), Afikomen Crunch Time and Spin Go the Groggers, The Hamantaschen Slide and Gotta Go Yo (Goodbye Song Remix). Lori created Music Monkey Jungle in the summer of 2010 as a way for her to bring her brand of music education to the world and because making the world a better place, through music, movement, friendship and community is her ultimate passion and goal.
Andrew attended The University of Manchester, UK and graduated with a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in joint Math and Physics. He was born in Liverpool, raised in Rayleigh, Essex and spent the good portion of his adulthood in London. He moved to the US in 2008 and has made Philadelphia his home. Andrew’s all-time favorite song is In the Air Tonight by Phil Collins, his favorite musical artists and groups are The Beatles, ELO, Phil Collins and George Winston and his favorite Music Monkey Jungle sing is Baby Music Monkey Time.
Andrew joined Lori in creating Music Monkey Jungle in 2010, as her head sound and equipment technician and put his love for electronics to good use in created the Music Monkey Jungle recording studio.
Jeremy attended Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. He grew up in Tinton Falls, NJ, started singing at the age of 3, acting at the age of 5, playing the piano at the age of 10 and playing the guitar at the age of 13. His greatest musical influences are Billy Joel, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles, musical theatre, his parents and his elementary music teacher. Jeremy’s favorite song is any song by Sublime, his favorite band is Sublime and his favorite Music Monkey Jungle song is The Fabulous Feelings Song.
Jeremy has been with Music Monkey Jungle since March of 2013, as an entertainer and teacher, and loves our ability to bring smiles to our audience members. He enjoys tha tour songs, dances and games are written to be accessible to all ages. So when adults hear our material they might be surprised to learn something new as well. The education woven into the fun is rarely seen elsewhere and makes teaching and learning an enjoyable experience for both the teacher and the student.
Travis attended Temple University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Travis grew up in Caldwell, NJ and has called Philadelphia home since 2009. Travis first pick up the violin at the age of 7 and the sax at the age of 11. By junior year, Travis was playing bass and then guitar. Travis was singing all the while and started performing in musical in late elementary school, blossomed in high school ensembles and competitive barbershop chorus throughout college. Travis’ major musical influences are The Beatles and music teachers Paul Larsen, Noah Gest and Nate Lienhard. They taught travis musical technique, fun and discipline, respectively. Travis’ favorite song is Personality Crisis by New York Dolls and favorite Music Monkey Jungle song is The Monkey Shuffle.
Travis has been with Music Monkey Jungle since August of 2014 as a stellar entertainer, is known for being the most enthusiastic jumper in the company and takes freeze dance to a brand new level of competition. Travis’ loves that Music Monkey Jungle is a family unit and that we take care of one another as often as possible.
Eric attended Florida Atlantic University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. He is a proud Philly native who was raised with a profound love for musical theatre. As a young child, he was constantly belting out anything Ethel Merman or Barbra Streisand. While in college, Eric picked up the ukulele and hasn’t put it down since. He was even crowned the Bushman World Champion Ukulele Player in 2011. His favorite song is Supermodel by Jill Sobule, his favorite artist is Barbra Streisand and his favorite Music Monkey Jungle song is Pointer Finger Dance Party.
Eric has been with Music Monkey Jungle since March of 2014, as an entertainer and music teacher. He loves working for a company that has his shared beliefs in community building, while bringing music education to the masses.
Eva attended Moore College of Art & Design and graduated with a Bachelor Fine Arts. She grew up traveling the globe but has strong New Jersey roots. Eva has been singing since before she could talk and at the age of 13, learned how to accompany herself on guitar. She’s also a pro at playing the spoons. Eva’s grandfather was the person who inspired her to sing. Even at the age of 100 years old, he’s still doing musical theatre. Her favorite musical artists / bands are Lettuce and Turkuas and her favorite Music Monkey Jungle song is The Chocolate Chip Twist.
Eva has been with Music Monkey Jungle, as our manager, since October of 2018. She feels so lucky in a warm, inviting, family oriented environment where we all take care of each other and genuinely love one another as well.
